Jordan

A wonderful woman that I work with wrote a poem about a picture that I had shown her of Jordan. I am so proud to work with such a great person. I want to share with everyone.

Who’s this young man so stoic,
Contemplating his future, bright?
When did he get so grown up?
Surely it happened over night.

I see him still in diapers,
All wobbly on his feet;
Holding on to Mommy’s hand,
Before he plunks down on his seat.

Babbling on in his own words;
Until at last I hear,
“Mama, Dada, pick me up!”
Spoken loud and clear.

Struggling with that potty thing;
The move from crib to big boy bed;
The first day going off to school:
Bedtime stories nightly read.

I should have snapped the next one;
Another favorite pose.
Jordan running, jumping, laughing,
As back to my little boy he goes.
